Start with the ingredient list
A blend and a single spice solve different cooking problems. Lawry’s Casero Total Seasoning, Adobo and Carne Asada contain salt. Garlic Powder and Ground Cumin let you add those individual flavors separately. Chili Powder is a blend that includes chili pepper, salt, other spices and garlic; it is not interchangeable with pure cayenne.
The product cards show the ingredients for each selected size. Some Total Seasoning listings differ: the 10.75 oz formula includes onion, while the published 26 oz ingredient list does not. Always read the bottle you receive, especially when an ingredient matters to you.
How the company describes production quality
Lawry’s is a McCormick brand. McCormick’s published food-safety materials describe ingredient sourcing, supplier expectations and quality controls throughout its operations. This is company-wide information, rather than a claim that every Casero product is made in one particular facility.
You can explore the manufacturer’s food-safety approach and consumer questions and answers for further context. Keep the package and its lot information if you need to ask about a specific bottle.
Kosher and other dietary information
The manufacturer identifies kosher options, including Adobo with Pepper. Current Total Seasoning and Carne Asada product pages also display kosher information. Check the certification mark on the exact package you plan to use.
A kosher designation does not mean a product is salt-free, organic or suitable for every dietary need. We do not apply one product’s certification to the entire collection. For allergies or a particular dietary requirement, read the current label and contact the manufacturer when clarification is needed.
What “no MSG added” means on a blend
Total Seasoning and Carne Asada are described with a qualification: no MSG added, except naturally occurring glutamates. Both ingredient lists include yeast extract. This wording should not be shortened to “MSG-free,” and it does not establish a general health advantage over another seasoning.
Keep your spices in good condition
Close the lid after use and store the bottle away from the stove, direct sunlight and moisture. Measure into a dry spoon or small bowl rather than shaking directly over rising steam. If a product has an unusual smell, visible contamination or damaged packaging, stop using it and follow the manufacturer’s guidance.
